Social networking has become increasingly popular with millions of people all over the world for the past few years, as it allows online interaction. Blogs attract a similar audience, however they allow the interactions to be shorter and quicker.
Microblogging allows the user to post short messages or ‘updates’ to the web; these may be text, photos or audio clips. They may contain maximum of 140 characters, which makes them far smaller than traditional blogs. As stated, blogging has become increasingly popular and this can be seen through the growth of microblogging websites like Twitter and Facebook. However, this has lead to an increasing amount of information being publicly available.
Not only are these blogs useful for social interaction, but they can also be used in Teaching, as an up-to-date source of information and opinion. Blogs are also useful to students and parents for extra resources to learn outside the classroom.
